Yup - Noah was quite right to do the two-by-two thing, 'cos he knew that Global Warming was gonna melt both ice caps and drown all the heathens in the Lowland areas.
Tibet, Mongolia, Andorra and Mount Mackenzie should be Ok tho' - if they're licenced to sell booze.

Theories about "the end of the world" have been around since man was first either put on this planet or evolved (whatever you believe in) and there was a time they thought the planet would have crumbled by the year 2000 and we are 7 years past that mark now so were pretty safe from thats doomsday prophecy. The whole world will not end for millions or billions of years unless a meteor big enough to litaraly pulvarize the entire planet to dust comes along or all the nucler missiles on the planet exploded simultaniously. one of the more popular theories is global warming but that can't even kill off human populations. The idea behind global warming is the build up of greenhouse gases (carbon dioxide or co2) causing a rise in tempature because the suns heat cannot escape. of course that cause the icecaps to melt which raises the sea level. Sea levels have been rising along with the tempatures for years however, if it started costing human life at some point the greenhouse gasses would slow enough for it to disperse. In conclusion the WORLD will survive even if we (humans) don't. And to answer the posted question we would not all sink in ten years because like i said earlier, the co2 levels would go down with the decrease of population making it colder freezing the ice caps again and making the water level recede. If were going to sink in ten years screw it and enjoy life but I hope this was the answer you were looking for.

Actually not a bad Q at all. I suggest a dvd I just got from Net Flix. The messages are REAL. "An Inconvenient Truth" narrated by AL Gore.
On a less serious note, you won't be alive to see Arizona or Ohio become waterfront. I live in Florida. I know it will never "Sink" it's already a scramble of mangrove roots, collecting sand and foliage, and it it ever "Snapped off" the rest of the USA, it would FLOAT,,,smiles.

Nope. The land sits on plates, which form and reform underneath eachother.
Global warming may actually kill most animal and plant life in the near future, but humans have technology to survive underground for a while. Mother nature is a crafty thing.

We won't sink. There's not enough water in the atmosphere. but there are more mass extinctions occurring today than there have been for hundreds of millions of years.
I suggest you go to www.vhemt.com. THe ideas might seem radical, but try to keep an open mind and you might find that there are some interesting answers to your question.

I read an article somewhere that claims that because of global warming, the entire city of London will be underwater in about twenty to thirty years.

I doubt it. Unless you are in New Orleans. That place is already below sea level and still sinking.

Well the Myans predicted that the word would end in 2012. They have predicted everything right, with a variation of only three seconds. Who knows.
