CAUTION : As a precaution for those using filesharing, the best is to use the filtering software that usually come's with it. Don't allow file extensions .exe, vmb dont allow anything with the exception of mp3, wav, mov, mpeg etc, Also whatever folder you down to open that folder right click and select "view" then detail's.
After downloading,always check the file type and make sure its an audio or video format. not a file or application. while this isnt a 100% foolproof it knocks down the chance of getting a virus considerably.

Well I have fixed so many PC's that have used Limewire that it is nuts. It even comes with adware in the software. I and allot of my friend use Legal sounds. It is not free but for the price of 1 song on most pay sites you can get the whole album plus free songs. The quality is great and it is safe. The site is based in Russia but does not violate any copyrights due to the laws there. For safety sake we all use a CC with fraud protection ( you should use anyway on the net) But none of the people I know have had any problems at all and we have been using this site for almost 2 years now. Purevolume.com and of course Myspace.com both have free music downloads, but not a lot of songs. Personally I prefer Limewire but I heard its easy to get viruses on if you run Windows... which I dont have to worry about cause I'm on a Mac.

If you're going to go for individual mp3 / audio files, download the LimeWire software these other guys keep telling you about and use that.
If you're going for full album downloads (the method i prefer, since i am an artist-album OC freak) go to

1. go to limewire.com
2. go to download
3. got basic or pro
4. click on the basic ( click on second one) takes like 5 min. to download limewire
5. then press continue
6. download songs
7. after finished got to limewire library
8. click the songs and enque them
9. press save as
10. and your done
