I need ideas on how to warm up. I don't have a fireplace or woodstove.

More clothes...hot drink...blankets. don't forget the socks. Cover your head, that's where most of the heat goes out. for real, it's a fact about the head. If your head is covered, you'll stay warmer.

Water conducts heat twenty times faster than air. Moving water: even faster. The absolute fastest way to warm up is to come in contact with warm moving water. Run your hands under the faucet, or take a shower.

You can get a gas fireplace if you have a gas line. They're pretty inexpensive and certainly cozy. You don't need a chimney for them.

Change your socks (fresh socks insulate better than day old ones), wrap up in a blanket , drink something warm and read a book.
