The reason I asked is because I named my son Ashton , when i go pick up his meds at the pharmacy the say here is your daughters medicine

I would say Ashton is a boys name!! Now a days though, people use more male sounding names for girls. Kinda bugs me! Ashton to me is a boys name, and i like it :-)

Ashton can be be both.I have a girl cousin named Ashton & I know a boy from High school named Ashton

The only Ashtons i know of are boys. I've never heard of a girl named Ashton.

It can be either or. Darla from the 90's verison of Little Raschals name is Brittany Ashton (forgot last name) and then you have Christopher Ashton Kutcher (Goes by Ashton Kutcher).

My daughter's name is Ashton, but she complains that it's a boy's name, because of Ashton Kutcher.

Well the only Ashton I know of is Ashton Kutcher.So to me it would be a boys name.

I know a little girl named Ashton and then of course we have all heard of Ashton Kutcher. I think it is cute either way!

I have 2 nephews named Ashton, so I would consider it a boys name. The feminine version would be Ashley.
