I would say Ashton is a boys name!! Now a days though, people use more male sounding names for girls. Kinda bugs me! Ashton to me is a boys name, and i like it :-)

It can be either or. Darla from the 90's verison of Little Raschals name is Brittany Ashton (forgot last name) and then you have Christopher Ashton Kutcher (Goes by Ashton Kutcher).
