Sammy Baugh was probably the best punter of all time and is in the hall as a QB. However, NO punter should ever be elected. They are not football players.

No but that Ray Guy is in the running but another guy who might get it is Chris Gardoki of the Pittsburgh Steelers he has not had a punt blocked his whole carrer and has the best avg. of the last 5 seasons you may see him on the list the next few years

Don't forget... of all the positions he played, Dallas coaching icon Tom Landry was also a punter (was also Def back and kick returner) and is in the HOF.

No, there is only 1 kicker, JAN STENERUD, elected in 1991, played for Kansas City Chiefs, Green Bay Packers, and Minnesota Vikings
