Ovulation test?

When you take an ovulation test, the results can be altered if you are pregnant, would the test come back positive or negative if you are pregnant?

My friend had an ovulation tester - a Clear Blue. It said that she was ovulating for 14 days which is what made her take the pregnancy test since that was weird. It is testing your HCG levels which are high when you are ovulating but also high when you are pregnant.
