Is Tyler Perry - the guy who puts on a dress and plays Madea - a gay man or a transvestite? He seems just a little too comfortable getting up on stage in women's clothing!

it's funny you say that because he does seem too comfortable in stockings and a purse...LOL!

i honestly think it's part of his act. he probably just hides behind the costume....but then again.....

No, he is not gay, he is just one of the best writers ever who has changed his life and wants to send out the message. Do you know that he was once real poor, like homeless status, until he came out with his idea of Madea and decided to make very funny plays with a message. It is great that someone can achieve so much especially coming from nothing.

IMDB refers to him as a "drag performer, a straight man who happens to play a female character"...personally I think he just does it to be funny - which it is! Martin Lawrence did the same thing in "Big Momma's House" and I don't think he is gay or a transvestite...

OMG! He is HILARIOUS. No, he's not gay, I mean Eddie Murphy, Patrick Swayzee, Martin Lawrence, a bunch of actors who are straight have played women roles. "Call the Po Po Ho" "Kunta Kinte put his foot down and got it chopped off" I never laughed so hard in Diary of a Mad Black Woman! :)
