they portrayed the Jews in their propaganda as enemies. Mostly on the issue of money (stereotype). They made Jewish people an enemy of the German society, they connected Jews with this propaganda and therefore thought they were all evil or corrupt.

Once this thought was in everyone's heads it was easier for them to consent to the idea that they "needed" to get rid of them. They were taught that they were enemies and that their enemies needed to be destroyed. It got society to deem this permissible and made it possible to kill all these Jews without anyone thinking it was bad.

Propaganda can twist up stories pretty bad in order to get the public on your side.
Take an example of, say, the germans maybe making a slight gain on the eastern front.
in germany, the newspapers say: "glorious day for the third reich, as the troops of the fatherland march confidently toward moscow"
in america: "germans advance against russians, killing soviet women and children in their wake. join the US army, save the women and children!"
in russia: "war going swell, berlin will fall in no time"

Not sure what else to say; propaganda can relay biased info back to the public, to raise morale and public opinion or try to get more people to enlist.

propaganda is the same as 'spin'... distorting the facts, or only showing the part of something that you want others to see... when they occupied the sudetenland, it was portrayed as though the people there were happy to be reunited with Germany, even though there were a lot of people who weren't German. When Germany invaded Poland, it used the excuse that they'd been attacked by Polish troops, even though it was really Germans disguised as Poles.
