i used to live in florida and i know what the SEC and ACC is like. now i live in the heart of buckeye country. i warned everybody about florida and the SEC but they didn't listen. not until it was all over.

my question is, why does everyone in the big ten area (OSU) think that the world of college football only revolve around this conference and that there is nothing out there worth while to watch?

hey everyone, PAT FROM OHIO doesn't know what he's talking about. hey Pat did you realize that SEVEN of the teams you mention is in either the SEC or the ACC
i'll name them off for you
ACC
Miami (FL) 5x
Florida State 2x
Georgia Tech 1x

SEC
Florida 2x
Tennesse 1x
Alabama 1x
LSU 1x

pat only mentioned 2 teams from the big ten in there. let's add up how many years the ACC and the SEC won in the short time frame pat mentioned yep 13 years it was SEC and ACC so pat i think i know what i was talking about.
if anyone sees pat give him the message please.

Because for most, college football is a regional thing. In Big 10 country, people talk big 10. Down here, everyone talks about the Big XII. In Cali, PAC 10 is what people talk about. Down south, people talk SEC, and now ACC after the changes that took place a couple year ago.

Then, there are those of us who are mapping our team way to the title game in week one. By the beginning of this last season, I figured out what had to happen around the NCAA world if Texas lost to OSU in week 2, which they did. Of course, I didn't factor in the last two losses of the season.

Simply, there are college football fans who follow their team and conference. Then there are us fanatics who follow the thing. Just the nature of the beast.

touche....

as you have stated, you do know what you are talking about and I do not. Quite frankly, I'm an OSU fan and could care less about other college football teams and conferences, making a good example of your original statement.

Yes, they lost (badly) to a very good Florida team this year but I'm sure they'll get another crack at it within 3 or 4 years.

yeah. the SEC proved that we were the best confernce with 5 bowl game and a national champion. no other conference had 9 teams in it. shows them who has the toughest schedule no matter who you play in the SEC. the big ten went 2-5.

it goes both ways . SEC isn't local and they don't follow the teams , and they rely on what the media say leading up to ONE game

or its denial, either answer works for me
