No. There are some young people who are very smart and some old people who are really dumb. It's just experience adds to your knowledge significantly.

No. Absolutely not. I know plenty of old, dumb, stubborn people. They fail to change their ways in order to become wise. They fall into the same bad habits and stay ignorant. I believe, wisdom is a gift you are born with, just like writing talent or physical beauty. Some are born wise, some are born dumb. Those born dumb stay dumb.

Absolutely not! Wisdom comes as a result of learning from your mistakes and the mistakes of others. Those that do not learn are fools, not wise people. And there is no fool worse than an old fool.

I believe that statement is partly true and partly false. Yes, I agree that you gain more knowledge as you grow older, but young people are more knowledgable on certain subjects than adults are, like popular movies, music, etc. But then, why are very old persons given the most respect? Knowledge? Who knows...

Yes and no. A smart person becomes wise as they age. A dumb person usually stays dumb for life. :)
