Help with ANOTHER math problem!!!!?

Ok, by the distributive proporty, you can distribute 1/4 into (20-x),
giveing you:

(20/4 - x/4) < 6

which reduces to:

5 - x/4 < 6 (I got rid of the ()s, don't need them anymore)

you can treat greater then (<) and less then (>) signs like an equal sign (=) when solving problems.
With this in mind, it is a simple algebra problem:

5 - x/4 < 6
-5_____ -5 (please ignore the long line)

reduces to:

-x/4 < 1 ....reduces to..... (-4)(-x/4) < 1(-4)....

when you multiply both sides by (-4)

reduces to:

x < -4

And that's it! Just remeber you can treat < and > as an = when solving problems.
