you probably have sensitive skin and you might not be applying your makeup gently enough, or you could be allergic to an ingredient in one of your makeup products. mineral makeup is great for sensitive skin because it's natural and doesn't have a lot of artificial ingredients, which irritate your skin. try bare minerals or physician's formula.

Sounds like you have allergies.
The safest thing to do is buy hypo-allergetic makeup, which isn't hard to find and usually doesn't cost more than usual makeup.
Many brands now make only hypo-allergetic makeups because they find that there is a growing consumer-rate of people in need of these products.
If the redness still remains, consult a doctor. They can probably perscribe pills or creams that will end the redness.

Good Luck!

It might be that you are allergic to something in the makeup...either look at the label and see if it says hypo-allergenic or for sensitive skin. If not go to the mall and the brand clinique should be good...just tell the make up people there about your problem and they'll definitely lead you in the right direction.

I guess your skin is very sensitive. I can't recommend any particular products, but I would recommend buying the book, The Skin Type Solution. It's helped me a lot. It has tons of info on what kinds of soaps, moisturizers and makeup you can wear that won't irritate your skin. It's like a $16 book (I think) but it will save you a lot of money and frustration in the long run.

Maybe its turning red because youre hypoallergenic OR youre not applying the right type of make up. If its not allergies try to use a light powder bronzer.

Sounds like you are allergic/sensitive to certain things in makeup.

I'd really recommend you try using Dermalogica skincare and foundation. They have a great range for all skin types (including sensitive).

They aren't too harsh either. Work a try!

It sounds like you might be allergic. Does it have an SPF? Maybe you're allergic to the sunscreen.

My skin is really red in spots. I use bare minerals and it is awesome. Just as good as it looks in the infomercials. Try it out...Who knows?

you have sensitive skin-like me! i once tried secret deoderant and i got a huge red itchy rash from my armpit to mid stomach! i'd say go for the hypo-allergenic makeups, you can find them pretty much anywhere, and are really cheap. i personally just try to stay away from it altogether (maybe a bit of concealer or lip gloss)

If you can get away with normally not wearing makeup, just stop wearing it altogether.
