Yes, diet can make you skip your cycle. It happens to women all the time. Anorexia can do it, stress can do it. You should definatley look into healthier dieting methods. Get into a workout routine and stock your kitchen with "healthy ONLY" food. That way you can't reach for junk. It worked for me. If it's there I will eat it. So I don't keep unhealthy food around. You should get your period again and return to your cycle if you eat right. I don't think that you will ruin your chance of having kids just from that. But, you may destroy your teeth, skin and heart. If you don't have your period for many months in a row...maybe something else is wrong. You would want to check with you doctor.

You screwed up your body, that's what happened. I'm not saying that to be mean, but this is a perfect example of why people should not skip meals and starve themselves to lose weight. The fact that you're not getting your period just goes to show how important your diet is to your body. Your period should go back to normal IF, and only IF, you are back to eating healthy. If it doesn't this month, you need to see a doctor.

You shouldn't worry about it. It is due to your abnormal eating habits of course. You should stick to salad, basmati rice, brown rice, tofu steaks if you must but skipping meals isn't healthy. In order to give birth, your body needs nutrition. By having an unhealthy eating habit your body will not function. I've also heard that runners don't get there periods either. They are skinny as all hell T_T I'm a vegetarian and slim but I don't skip any meals.

First, let me tell you that i understand the horrible time you are going through. I´m not gonna give you a diagnosis because i´m not a Dr, but it´s obvious that you have issues with food and i understand how painful that is.
Losing your period is a direct result of your unhealthy weight loss. You need to go see you Dr, your ob-gyn and a psychologist. And yes, that definitely has a bad impact on whether you can have children or not.

Look Gabby, I don't think it has effected you to not have kids. Basically, I think you're eating too little. It's what you eat that loses weight, not the amount. Plus it's quite normal for it to come and not come sometimes. You're probably one of those people who wait like *forever* until it actually comes.
-hope you're ok!-

If you follow the traditional food pyramid and hydrate enough, get enough rest... you'll get your period again. But if you don't stock up on the vitamins--well mostly minerals--that you lose when you have your period, you won't have it bc you didn't take in enough nutrients to replace them. You need calories and vitamins. Good food--fresh fruits and veggies and lots of milk and meat. You'll get better, I promise.
