I've found that a lot of times, they'll do it on my questions so they can be at the top of the answers list and then they'll come back later and type their answer in. I hate it when they do that. It's not a race. I read all my answers.

They may simply be agreeing with your rational of the question you pose. Like in: yes, period!

Or, they are very desperate for 2 points and care not whether or not they gain 10 points for giving an intelligent answer.

Every time you answer a question you get two points. So the people who only leave a . just want the points

I think it could be that, and in some cases, it is even quicker and easier than idk or tks for the 2 pts!

lots of times they just want points. It annoys me slightly.
