- the ocean/the fresh seafood markets
- Nirvana/grunge music
- great research university (U of Wash)
- the Space Needle (ha)
- Frasier
- no snow
- no tropical diseases, killer bees, droughts, or tornadoes
- it's only like a 3-hour drive to Canada

I live an hour from Seattle. I wouldn't live in Seattle but nearby is ok. Reasons: great food, entertainment, shopping, art, scenery.
