How much do you bleed when you first get your period? My friend doesn't know if she got here period or if something else happened. She bleed but now through her pants. Did she get her period or something else?

It actually varies with different women. Me personally, my first 2 days of my menstrual cycle are always my heaviest days and sometimes I have to use both pad and tampon to prevent leakage. But, for the rest of my cycle it lightens up and I only need a regular-sized tampon. Have your friend ask her mom when she started because typically the daughter starts around the same age. But, if she hasn't "officially" started then her body is adusting her for what is to come.
