I am a Canadian, personally I don't mind America but the president you guys voted for is one of the most moronic people I have ever seen. I'm surprised he can tie his shoes in the morning. Many countries don't like you, they just don't have the balls to say it.

No one likes the Americans. Problem is, the only ones that know it are the ones that travel outside the US to places other than the Caribbean. Americans tend to be very arrogant and their government leads them to believe that they are always helping everyone when in fact, they amount to nothing more than the school yard bully. In Canada, we love our free medical system, our access to higher education, our clean air, and our Queen. Most of them don't even realize that we are part of the Commonwealth and that all America does in Canada is get free water, buy and move our professional teams, and cripple our lumber industry with illegal tariffs that they refuse to lift despite WTO rulings.
American's think that we're jealous of them, but remember, they also think that we live in igloos.

I think most countries are jealous. And I hear the hatred and jealousy from Canadians all the time. But hey, sticks and stones you know, nothing a country with 6 planes in their air force and 4 ships in their navy can say will ever bother me. Oh and don't say Canadians aren't jealous, just go to Florida in the winter, half the damn change you get back are those 20 cent Canadian quarters. If they didn't envy something about this country, they would not be here vacationing all winter.

Imagine yourself living on a street that has an extremely rich and powerful neighbor. This neighbor takes it on himself to tell you what you can do and can't do. You depend on the this neighbor for an income, so you comply.
From simple things like what you can and can't buy at the local grocery store to denying you the right to own weapons to protect yourself, this neighbor has long fingers into your life. This rich neighbor will pay your medical bills, feed your hungry kids, and even let you visit his nice house from time to time to borrow books to improve your life back home, but you have to give him access to the wealth that your piece of land holds within it's soil (oil, gems, or precious metals.) If you don't capitulate then this neighbor goes around to the other households and spreads lies about you. Tells people that you are a bad person and that you want to invade their houses and steal from them.
This powerful neighbor use to be incredibly convincing, but the power of this neighbor is waning. In time, the neighbor won't be so powerful anymore because the neighbor forgot the True Source of his wealth and it was taken from him.

if you are canadian than you are an American
people from the United States are not seen as hated everywhere in my opinion
everywhere is a pretty big place... if we were hated everywhere we wouldn't have any allies
Bush is hated by majority of the world but aparently not the majority of the united states - mostly because he is conservative with gay rights and abortion
but I don't think the individual people or the US itself is strongly hated
otherwise I don't think we would have so many immigrants and tourists
I do think Bush thinks he needs to help everyone
he goes overboard on his level of power
that and hes just a douche

their politics and goverment are giving the wrong idea about the country as a whole, that ugly criminal george bush is doing nothing but war crimes, unfortunately some ignorant people are stupid enough to believe his lies, but i have met maaaany americans in my life, and the ones i met where sweet people, but those ignorant ones are the minority in the US, the majority are aware of the true situation.so i am guessing the stupid american goverment and the ugly george bush are the ones causing more hate around the world towards the US.

frankly, i do not care in the least whether the world hates me. the feeling is mutual.
i do wish the world feared us like they used to, though.
