Desktop computer.
1. Easier and cheaper to repair.
2. Easier and cheaper to upgrade.
3. The tend to be more powerful then laptops
4. They scale better then laptops (you can upgrade a desktop more then a laptop can be upgraded)
5. They are always cheaper (they are also more power for the buck)
6. They break less, Consumer Reports tracked repairs on both laptops and desktop for three years: Laptops broke 46%, desktops broke 31%.

a laptop. they are so much more versitile than a desktops. Laptops you can take anywhere. A desktop is no use in a class or going on trips. A desktop also has all that equimpmet to bother with.. I mean you have the keyboard, printer, and monitor and all the cords! Personally i'd go with a laptop

I always liked having both ... several of both if possible! LOL!

However, when I moved into an RV fulltime a few years ago, I went to laptop only for reasons of both space and portability. I still miss having a desktop (I built my own and always enjoyed tinkering with the innards, lol); but just don't have the space.

Besides the RV, I also travel a lot on the train to visit family and its a 12 hour ride one way, so the laptop is a must have on it!

Definite laptop. I use my laptop probably 5 or 6 times more then I would if it was a desktop.

It is where I need it at the time. No doubt that a laptop is more versatile then a desktop.

Totally agree! Laptop! You can take them anywhere, unless they are like the one I'm using right now, which, the boundaries may only be as far as the cord can stretch from the outlet! We don't have a battery pack!

thats about the best reason. with laptops being packed with about the same hardware you can find in a desktop, portability is the main feature to look at.

I think you mean a desktop or laptop.

I would pick a laptop for mobility and take it places to show people stuff on it.
