When I was 14, I weighed 95-98 pounds, and then I became anorexic. Now, at the age of 15, I'm 83.6 pounds. I knew anorexia was not good for me, but there was this horrible guilt feeling inside of me every time I ate telling me that I'm packing on extra calories that I don't need. I eat about 1000 calories a day. I've decided to change. I ate a banana for breakfast with one glass of skim milk and then a Nutri-Grain bar for lunch. It wasn't enough, I know, so for dinner, I ate a bean burrito (250 cals) with half a slice of cheese (about 40 cals) to get some calcium in my diet, because osteoporosis is not cool. One piece of my burrito was dry, though, so my dad said I didn't have to eat it if it was too hard for me to enjoy. Without thinking, I said it wasn't that hard and ate it anyway. I'm feeling guilty now, because that piece was easily worth around 50 cals. I don't know if I should feel guilty or proud of myself. Did I do the right thing? Do girls need fat to develop properly?

The long term effects of anorexia and bulemia are not worth what you are doing to your body. Although I don't know what your height is, I do feel as if 83.6 lbs is too thin. You should seek help now. Do you still look in the mirror and feel that you should lose more weight? There is so much emphasis put on women to be super model thin, when in reality, a healthy weight is more attractive. Although I am sure you have heard this before, beauty is within. Learn to love yourself whether you weigh 130lbs or 105 lbs. Take care of your body, don't deprive yourself of vitamins, minerals, etc. the things your body needs to be beautiful. I hope you get help for yourself, if not you are on a downward spiral that you won't be able to stop. Good luck!

You did the right thing. Every time you eat think about how unhealthy it is not to eat a lot. Wouldnt you want to eat the burrito rather than being in the hospitial, cuz u kno the docs would suggest you go to a support group. If i were you I would ask my friends their oppinion, but either way, follow your heart, not your mind. Best of luck.

No it is not bizarre that you just love to spend a while by myself. I additionally do this. I can appear at matters wherever, and for nonetheless lengthy I desire. If it is anything foolish then I should not have any person "judging" me. You spend time with peers so do not fear approximately it. You are mature adequate not to be clingy and that is a well factor. You do not have got to run in a institution to have a laugh and that suggests you are comfortable in who you're. Enjoy it slow by myself!

Feel proud of yourself! You are doing a great job! Keep it up, it is great that you put it in your mind you would start eating healthier... you should only feel confidence about that. Think about the GOOD you are doing to your body as you intake calories, it gives you energy to keep on going and being your healthy self. If you feel like you can't control these guilty feelings, tell someone about them (if you haven't already). Also, a counselor can help you feel better about your healthy choices (I go to a counselor and he really helps me get through my self esteem issues).

Keep up the great work and don't feel guilty!
Much love,
Andrea

i think you know you have a problem and im happy to hear that you at least are trying to feed yourself. You should work harder on eating more calories a day even if the things you eat are high. You should weigh around 120 that sounds like alot but that is a healthy weight not fat weight.

you should not feel guilty about feeding yourself. and yes you do need a certin amount of fat in your diet. try to eat healthy fat. a bean burrito isn't exactly full of healthy fat. try to eat things like peanut butter or other kinds of nuts. they have the good kind of fat. also nuts are full of protien so they will keep you full longer!
