fish do not stop growing because they are in a smaller tank. that is a myth. make sure you can accomidate for it. and yes it needs a bubbler and filter and very good water conditions. they are quite sensitive

It will for sure be stunted in that tank. They need no less than 125 gallons for 1 specimen with zero tankmates. They don't need bubblers, but they are sensitive and need pristine water and excellent filtration.

Stunting does happen(unfortunatly) and it is very painful for the fish, and will cause it to be deformed.
