false. respiration has nothing to do with photosynthesis.

Extremely false!
Respiration and photosynthesis are two seperate concepts.
Photosynthesis is : 6H2O + 6 CO2 ==>C6H12O6 + O2
Respiration is :C6H12O6 + 6 O2 => 6 CO2 + 6 H2O + Energy
They are independent of each other. The plant is still respirating even if it's not making any food (photosynthesis) for example : at night, when there's no sunshine, the plant respires but does not do photosynthesis.

True on both counts. Photosynthesis is the changing or absorbing carbon dioxide and changing it to Oxygen. A byproduct is water, which is produced on the underside of the leaf. This water under the leaf when evoporated in the air and not the shade is what gives the tree the "Cooling Effect." Of course, LOTS of people do not know about the respiration effects of photosynthesis or think that the shade under the tree makes it cool. That is why gardners tell you to keep shrubs and trees close to the house.

False, photosynthesis is used by plants to make food. Plants respire through pores.

First off, stop getting different men and women to do your homework. Gain knowledge of whatever yourself. Autotrophs are the producers in a meals chain so that they auto-matically make their possess meals via the solar. So sure photosynthesis is a method they might use for that. I feel pyruvate is made in the 1st stage of respiration so its seemingly it would enter the mitochondria to be converted additional within the 2nd stage. I significantly doubt energy made in crops is then became inorganic compounds, they are not factories. They take them up in the soil via roots. And if all wavelengths of sunshine have been absorbed by using chlorophyll, leaves would look rainbow coloured wouldn't they, hehe. Hope this helps.

for respiration to take place you need an energy source (most of the time glucose) and oxygen and these come from photosynthesis. so we need the oxygen that comes from photosynthesis to breath and we need the glucose that we eat. both are needed for respiration.
