Romeo and Juliet?

in the baz luhrmanns 1996 version of Romeo and Juliet what are some parts that you could use to say that Mercutio is gay

Just read the play and if you read it correctly you will see that Mercutio is very poetic, but that doesn't mean he is gay! Being poetic in Shakespeare's time was a sign of erudition! Also becouse he speaks of Queen Mab and The Old Ways and other mysteries he is considered to be an initiate! What you see in films is just the oppinion of the director or actor,etc you shouldn't make judgements based on movies.Read the book! Maybe the director didn't understand Shakespeare's ideea!
