Why do people kill themselves?

Question

One of my neighbors lost his home to foreclosure and the police came with a lock smith the bank hired to change the locks and found his body in his former living room with "another victim of capitalism" written on the wall. Do people try to measure their lives too much too social conformity/social standing. I have never meet a person who is down to earth and humble kill themselves. Most people I know who killed themselves over my lifetime (23) are social seeking yuppies who fail and end their lives over it....SAD!!! Why do people kill themselves? Your opinions I gave you mine.

Each persons life is different to the next along with their bodies their minds and what tragedies their lives will hold. Not only are these different but so are the reasons people end their lives, loneliness, loss of a love one that they cannot cope with, things about them selves they cannot accept , depression sometimes the extremity of melodramatic acts to get the attention of someone or as you say "social seeking yuppies who fail and end their lives over it"
Everyone will have a different answer but there are a lot of people out there who do it because they are genuine in their reasons and not just doing it as another form of attention seeking habits.

Those people that kill themselves feel that there is no other option left for them. There is no reason to go on living and the pain they experience would end only if they were dead. Many people feel that it is their way of copping out. They can't handle life and its just easier to die.

I think that they do it to escspe. To have a moment of peace, to not wake up and realize taht you were better off asleep. Think of the worst day of your life. Picutre it reapetingover and over again. That, is what some people have to endure this everyday. Sometimes its when we are at that age where we realize that every dicsion is our own, even the mistakes. and sometimes people dont feel as if they failed someone else, but themselves. and they look around and see the life of their own creation, sometimes their own hell.

i think the reason people kill themselves is cuz they have no where 2 go and no 1 2 talk 2. they feel like they don't belong in this world and have no reason for living.

People kill themselves due to extreme deppression or they are in a constant state of turmoil or in a situation that they cannot handle and they feel like suicide is there only option.

people commit suicide because life gets to a stage where everything is unbearable and they find/see no solution to their problems .
they have no friends or no family to confide in , what they don't see is the help there is out there, people to talk to , people to see, people are willing to listen and try and help.
there are alot of people with problems such as homelessness, people that are hungry , people living in wars/constant fighting...those people with the MOST problems have the courage to try and live their lives to the best of their ability
people with the least of problems such as the one you mentioned could have been prevented if the person seeked help.
