There are many differnet kinds of Goldfish like Fantail Pearlscale Oranda Ryukin and so on...
But when I bought my fish it said that its a Fantail/Pearlscale Goldfish.
Pearlscale and Fantail both have different Characteristics like both grow to different lengths, both like different temperatures (although im pretty sure that room temperature is good enough) and Pearlscales are more pron to swimbladder problems.
So can you look at the pic and tell me if it really is a Fantail/Pearlscale Goldfish or if its just a Fantail because i cant see any pearlscale in this fish. Do u think the pet stores wrong?
Also is there anything I should be cautious about? because its a fantail/pearlscale

Fantail is a common name. It looks like chocolate ryukin to me...but the color could be off on my monitor. Fantail is closest to what it is. Pearlscales are smaller, rounder, and have bubble like scales. Your fish has smooth scales. Take care of him as a fantail or ryukin. 20 gallons of water per goldfish, good water quality, and cool water and you will be fine.

oh, and your fish looks like he has a short tail. This could lead to balance problems as he grows, so make sure you always sink his food so he doesn't swallow air as he eats. This will help reduce the chances of swim bladder disease which will affect his balance. Even if he does end up swimming funky, he'll still be fine.

What had probly happened was the pet store was labeling two fish at one price. Not that it is a Fantail/pearlscale but rather two seperate fish goign at the same price. Always ask what fish you are actually getting, since so many are kept in the same tank.
