Now that I'm grown up I can see what was wrong with the boys my parents didn't like. She probably sees that he's not good for you.

Most likely he won't end up moving to your town. While the idea sounds great, moving your life to a new town is expensive and difficult, especially when you are 18 years old. While you may not understand your mom, you should know that she loves you and only wants the best for you. I hate to say it, but mom's really do know what is best for their daughters. I think when you meet the right person your mother will welcome him with open arms. Part of the problem right now may be the fact that you are 15 and she doesn't feel you should be deeply involved with someone. You are her baby girl and she'll want you to stay that way as long as possible. I think she's just being protective. Trust your mom, but ultimately do what makes you happy.

Maybe you could have her meet him again. The first impression isn't always the best one. Try having them talk together. The first time my mom met my boyfriend she said the same thing. But now she's all for us getting married this summer. Just have him over more and let her get to know him.
Good Luck and God Bless!

Your Mom's been around for a while, and has had an opportunity or two to size up men. I think that you should listen to her.
