He wrote an article called "Shot Down over Libya" in 1942, and his first actual book to be published was called "The Gremlins". I've never come across it - has anyone else?
His first popular children's novel was "James and the Giant Peach", in 1961.
My favourite has always been Fantastic Mr Fox.
