knowing if your smart or dumb doesnt make you smarter or dumber. its how you let yourself gain knowledge over a thing or waste the time of not gaining it that will set you to whichever level of intelligence.

If you know your smart, you risk becoming ignorant(stupid) as you think you know everything.
I you know your dumb then you will try that xtra bit harder to improve your grades, unless your really dumb and want to eat from the trash when you grow up

i think you are as smart as you are, "knowing that your smart" might make yo more vain" and "feeling that you're dumb" will make you less motivated but your "smartneses prolly isn't going to change unless you get hit on the head with a rock
