No, you're not wrong. She might make a HUGE drama about it, but she'll get over it.

My Mom use to put a lock on the phone so we couldn't run up the phone bill. Two hours is more than reasonable and make if for after her homework is done. If she can't abide by that, take the phones out of the wall, except for one (the one in front of you and make it a corded phone so she can't walk around with it).

In my house my daughter didn't get to get on the phone unless she had EARNED that privelige. And her time was limited to a half hour. All of her friends lived within walking distance of our home so there was no reason she had to be on the phone to them for TWO HOURS? If this is a cellphone I'd take it from her period and cancle the plan tell her to EARN the money to purchase a new plan herself.

My daughter is 20 now, but when she was 15 she was not allowed to be on the phone for more than 15 mins. after dinner, homework done, clean up her bedroom and sharing time with the family.

Remember that you are the MOM and she is the daughter. Tight up the ropes now, before its too late.

She might be angry at first but OH WELL, she needs to learn discipline. Also you need to know who (with names) she is talking to for 2 HOURS!! and also about what?

My daughter appreciates now all the discipline she learned before, it helps her in College and in life itself.
