is that a pattern or something? or is there a rule that all countries with the "land" behind of their name, their citizens must be called "something-oles"?

If it is, then people from Iceland would be called Ice-oles which kindda sounds like a*sholes..

because your thinking in english term in poland the polish have a differnt name for themselves remember in the us we call ourselfs americans where everyone else calls us asholes.
