My guess is that your parents think you are not yet old enough or responsible enough to manage your cell phone talk time... tell them about pay as you go phones... Verizon, Cingular and Sprint all have prepaid plans... as well as Trac Fone and Virgin Mobile !

Just show them that you are responsible enough to have a cell phone, or if tht dont work then strike a compromise; tell them that you'll pay them how much it will cost for the plan each month, like 30 bucks or sumthin, and then they might say if u do tht for a couple months u might b able to have a cell phone soooo if all else fails try compromising

It sounds to me such as you ought to savor the reality that your mom offered you that telephone to start with. And the reality which you're even questioning of working your telephone over along with your ATV shows you in all danger are not in charge sufficient to have that telephone, considering which you do no longer look to have the assumption of a dollar down. you ought to gain telephones are high priced and you do no longer in basic terms circulate to the telephone tree and pull them off. At minimum salary in Florida (7.25) it may take 20 hours to purchase a one hundred fifty$ telephone. Thats an prolonged time, in many cases greater beneficial than an afternoon's artwork.

ask them why they wont? is it the price? maybe you can pay part? if they think u will go over your minutes then get a prepay, that way if you do, you have to pay and they can keep track of what your using. ask them calmly the reason why they wont let you, maybe there's certain hours that they dont want you talking. say if they want you to have it only when youre not at home agree to turn it off when your home, and maybe turn it over to them at bedtimes because a lot of parente problems is that their kids are up at all hours talking on the phone. just be adult about it and see if you can logically talk them into it. maybe bargin, if you do your chores, or get good grades, it can be a reward. just be prepard to keep up your end of the bargin

Wait and behave. Be patient. Parents love patience, and give them hints like say I cleaned my room wasn't that responsible or what? That might get them thinking but I am not GUARANTEEING this will happen so don't blame me.

Behave responsibly, show you can be trusted and do all the stuff they want you to do, don't whine about stuff be polite and respectfull, once they feel they can trust you offer to buy your own and buy you own cards for it. that way you can only use the minutes you have already paid for. Good luck.

Tell them that you might be kidnapped one day, and your only hope of being rescued would be to have a cell phone.
