Why do people want to live together before they get marry?

Why do people live together before they get married? For a number of reasons:
1. Making sure they get along
2. Adjusting to living under one roof
3. No religious / cultural concerns for them not to
4. Sharing costs and expenses
My husband and I lived together before we got married, but I made it very clear that we weren't just going to shack up. Plus, he lived out of state and we met on line, so this would have been the time to make sure we had made the right decision.
That was seven years ago, we've been married six.

When you get married, you live together w ur new husband. If you never love together w him before, you will be shocked. By living together before getting married, we get to know each other bad and good habits, the partner's life in and out. Trust me, there will be lots of things to see & get adjust with each other.
If you cant stand ur partner when u live together w him, you know that marrying him will be a disaster already

Le_Roche pretty much summed it up. We were engaged for a year before we moved in together, then lived together for four years while we paid off debts and saved up for the wedding. But there was never a doubt that we would get married as soon as we could afford to have the wedding we wanted.

It is a exceptional thought. My now husband and I moved in in combination and lived in combination 6 months earlier than we bought married. We found out matters approximately every different that we didnt already recognize, we found out eachother's quirks and the way we dealt with a loved ones and if we might reside in combination peacefully and fortunately. You don't desire to attend and notice this man or woman isn't suitable with you, believe me!

Usually to see if you actually get along under one roof once the day to day sets in--picking up his underwear, her leaving bras out in the open......sandwiches for dinner and not dining out.....to learn about the actual person and not just the one you are dating.

I sopose that they think it would help to find each other out but beleive me somtimes people change after they get marriedThat ring changes things somtimes...
