What color pants to wear with a dark brown sport coat?

Question

I have to attend a dinner meeting out of town. Want to wear the sport coat instead of suit so I don't have to lug around a second pair of shoes. I am taking brown shoes. The sport coat has hints of charcoal, orange, and khaki. Any color shirt look good with it, and I have every combination of tie. I just can't nail the pants down. A kahki color pair of dress paints, light blue shirt? Olive pants, tan shirt? Sport coat look great with blue jeans... if that helps.

Should have finished my thought... blue jeans look good but are not allowed.

definetly khaki or cream-hued pants. they will look nice with the brown and orange because they all have warm colors in them. have fun on your trip!

Khaki colored pants with white shirt or as you said light blue shirt. With jeans a black shirt might be interesting..hope it helps

Light blue shirt & baige or light tan khaki is alwasy a favorite combo of mine.
Besides, brown makes blue "Pop"
Not only that, blue is a color almost everyone is fond of.

So this is like a , billiabong type style jacket? or what sorry kind of lost .
but if its brown get a pair of jeans that look like they are washed repetativly , you know that look.
You want to be comfortable. and possibly go for a black shirt underneith
Or if your going to a upper class look grab some white pants . ahah .

I would go with a dark wash blue jeans. It would look casual but still nicely put together and appropriate.
