Fender Starcaster?

I have a fender Starcaster. Whenever I play the first 3 or 4 frets of the first 4 strings it makes a very flat noise that doesn't even sound like a note. why is this happening and how can i fix it?

Neck isn't straight. raise the strings for a temporary fix. Then take it to a guitar shop
