All I have to say is good luck, considering women wear a lot of fabrics that tend to be more delicate than mens. It's not discrimination, it's charging a fee for a service. If a you can prove that you go in with certain articles of clothing, both mens' and womens', get a receipt, then have a male friend go in with the EXACT SAME articles. You may notice that the prices are the same...It all has to do with fabric, required cleaners, required methods of cleaning, and labor. Think before you sue; you may have a lot of fees to pay, a lot more than it would cost to get your clothes cleaned.

I don't know where you live, but in California, it is illegal to charge a different price for a garment, whether it is for shirts, pants, whatever. It was a class action suit. Not being an attorney, when I need to look something up, I go to Stateofca.gov. It helps is you can site past law, no matter which state it comes from in beginning a case.
Wish I could help more, but look up case law here and it will be a good start. If we won here, you will win there.
I just read the previous answer where someone said women's shirts have to be pressed by hand. I don't know about you, but mine are done just like the men's shirts. If I were to ask for special service such as hand-pressing, I would expect to pay for it. If a man wanted hand-pressing, I would expect his to be charged the same as mine. The pressing machines take the same amount of time and labor for everyone.I have worked in dry cleaners, albeit many years ago, but it can't have changed that much.

It is only discrimination if the only reason for the price difference is the gender of the wearer. If, however, the difference is in the time/effort/chemicals/skill needed to clean the shirt, the price difference is justified. If you think you have bona fide discrimination, just call up an attorney - there's sure to be someone willing to take it.

No way! You chose to go there! Go somewhere else! Besides they charge more for women's shirts because they generally have more pleatings and more detailed collars to be pressed.

Retain an attorney and go for it. I have read of it being done in the past, apparently they were unsuccessful, but there is case law available. Maybe you will be the one to get over the goal with this. This discriminatory.

its not sex discrimination... my mom owns and i run a drycleaning place... its cheaper for men because when they are regular button up shirts that just get laundered then they get thrown in a regular washer (just bigger) and then get pressed on three different machines. it is not done by hand... womans shirts have to be done by hand that is why it costs more, they are harder to press... its not because your a woman....!

I'm guessing that you haven't graduated from college either because you are too young or otherwise.
