I doubt he spoke it fluently because he never lived in Holland and spent most of his time chasing Spaniards. He would, however, have probably known a few words for communicating with Dutch ships.

OH, man I have no idea. All I can remember about him is that he was hired and attacked spains ships which caused Spain to finacially criple.
