Sounds like you have your answer....it depends on you State. Call the County clerk's office where you filed for divorce and see if the decree has been entered. If so, it's final. They may can also tell you the time frame. In Arkansas it's 30 days from the date of filing the original Complaint until it can be final---it usually takes longer than that to negotiate everything though.

That depends on how quickly the lawyer's paralegals get everything typed up with the original going to the court and copies sent to everyone involved, then it will take time for the judge to go over the paperwork. Since it seems it was all cut an dried maybe six months...

I think 30 days.. It did'nt take me that long to get a divorce from my ex husband..Seemed like we filed in Feb., and by March we were divorced..
