ok so..i am 13..my birthday is november 16th..am i gonna be able to vote the year i turn 18?? ill be 18 in 2012? i think i will but im just tryin to make sure..help please

No, because you will not be 18 by the first Tuesday in November. You will have to wait until 2013 when you can vote in the primary. My Bday is the 14th and I had to wait.

I don't think that you will. Election day is on the first Tuesday following the first Monday in November. It will always fall between November 2 and November 8. Since you won't be 18 until November 16th, you will still be too young to vote on Election day. Keep in mind, however, that it is only the President that is elected every 4 years. There are other things to vote for (senators, laws, etc.) during times when there is no Presidential Election. You won't be able to vote in 2012, but you should have the opportunity to vote before 2016.

No - you will still be 17 on election day in 2012. It is never as late as the 16th. Sorry, it seems so unfair as you are already interested at 13. One of my kids missed the date by a small amount in 2004 and was not happy that almost all her friends could vote.

I don't think so, election day is like the first tuesday in November. You can send in your voting registration in earlier in the year I think, but I really don't think you will be able to vote in that election.
