I am helping my little sister with her math homework, and we are both struggling with it!

Someone please help us, here is the equation. We need to put parentheses around certain numbers to get the correct answer.

2 + 7 to the 2nd power - 3 to the second power / 3 to the second power - 1 X 5 = 35

Where would we put the parentheses to get 35 in this problem?

{[(2+7)^2 - 9] / 9 -1} x 5 = 35

2+7 = 9
9^2 = 81
81 - 9 = 72
72 / 9 = 8
8 - 1 = 7
7 x 5 = 35

(2+7) to the 2nd power - (3 to the 2nd power) / (3 to the second power) -1 x 5 = 35. 9x9=81-9=72/9=8-1=7x5=35

The fact of the concern yields 2 equations: 10c + 200s + 500p = a hundred*a hundred (coefficients are cents, to that end $a hundred is a hundred*a hundred cents) the 2d equation is c + s + p = a hundred you have 2 equations and 3 unknowns. The trick right this is which you have no longer have been given fractional animals. so which you choose c, s, and p to be advantageous integers. it is relatively a variety thought concern yet i might advise removing one variable. Take 10 circumstances equation 2 and subract it from equation a million. you will do away with c and have a relationship between s and p. Then seek for integers that remedy it. Write returned in case you choose greater help.

you would put the partentheses around -1x5=35 because in a math problem remeber P(parentheses) E(exponents) M(multiplication) D(division) A(addition) S(subtraction) and multiplication comes before any other things, so you put the parentheses around that because you are supposed to do them in order, multiplication being first.
