Is there any website that let's me select a book and read it online?

ALSO:
Your local public library--or if you are in college, the campus library--probably has a subscription to Netlibrary, Ebrary, or some other E-book package.

Sign up for a free account through them and you can access their e-book collection from any computer. (You may have to sign up for the account at the library. Check and see what the rules are.)

None of these sources will have a comprehensive collection of every book in a particular genre etc. But you will find lots of stuff!
