How to reset Motorola DCT2500 cable box?

I bought a used Cable box off ebay and need to know how to reconfigure it to my existing cable service.

I called Comcast but they say they will not touch it since its not a box I bought from them. I tried unpluging it and repluging it, and it still wont load the right software. It does not show any channels, and displays the wrong time. How do I reset this to factory defaults or configure it to Comcast codes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The STB has to be provisioned. The only way to do this is for Comcast to add your STB to their systems. Unfortunately, you are SOL. All set top boxes on ebay are stolen. Comcast doesn't let you buy your boxes. You always have to lease it from them. Usually these end up from technicians stealing them from uninstalls, upgrading or exchanging.
