According to Rumsfeld, when you are flying over Iraq in a jet, it is very peaceful over there.

How do you know that iraq is chaos? Have you been there? no. Every soldier that I have met that went to iraq never talked about chaos, they talked about the constant boredom BECAUSE NOTHING EVER HAPPENS.
Use the UK for example. The UK has 16000 murders a year, and Iraq has 45000, about 3 times that. How many people in the UK know someone who was murdered? Not many. Murtiply that small amount of people by 3, and you still have an extraordinarily small amount of people who know someone who was murdered.
Even in the US's most deadly city, Washington DC, the majority of people have never known someone who was murdered.
Do you think that over in Iraq, for some reason, they all fear being murdered? No. Because the majority of them have never lost somebody they knew.
How could that be considered chaos? Chaos is the race riots in LA, where massive gangs would go around burning entire blocks and dragging truck drivers out of their trucks and beating them to death! Iraq doesnt have that. it has random murders, not giant swarms of violence.
