About a second or so before my water broke, I felt a crampy pressure on my cervix. It was REALLY strong. I was in bed, and when I felt the pressure, my eyes popped open, and then BAM. My water broke.

The night my water broke, I had a feeling that it would. I was having some braxton hicks (or mild contractions) to begin with. And then my baby was kicking me, but it hurt for the first time when she kicked, it really felt like she was trying stab her foot out of me, and I even told my husband if she keeps doing that my water will break, and it sure did, 2 hours later, when I was getting into bed. It was a trickle, at first I thought I peed myself.

Not everyones water breaks, sometimes the doctor has to break it. My first child, the doctor had to break my water.

I had a baby in December 2005 and my water broke at home. I had been experiencing mild contractions all day and around 12:30 pm i felt like i needed to pee so i went to the bathroom. As soon as i got my pants off my water broke all over my pants and the floor. You can tell its not pee b/c water just keeps coming. I had to grab a towel and place it between my legs sorry if too much info and i had to wear a pad to the hospital. Trust me you will know.Good luck

My daughter punched through her sac and broke the waters in one birth, with another I was pushing and the waters finally broke with a push. That felt pretty strange, especially since after that I could feel the head and it was a lot more pressure and pain!

I had no clue that my water was going to break. I was just walking down the hallway in my house and all of a sudden I felt like I was peeing and could not stop.

With my third one I kept dreaming that I had peed the bed, when I woke up and went to the bathroom there was a gush with some blood.
