pride!!!!!!
we can cure the jelouses.
we can have a money as long as you won't choose what is in the table.
adultery would be another story.
but pride on one person is hard to manage. if no one accept as a loser, relationship will end-up to nothing.

No communication is a big downfall of a lot of marriages today. You should communicate about how you feel, when you dislike something the other person is doing, but dont argue about it just talk about it. Dont keep things bottled up. A lot of times if couples would talk about there problems to each other instead of reaching out to others, there wouldnt be as many affairs.

Not being on the same page before they get married. The New York Times recently published an article on questions married people wish they had asked each other before getting married. The title of the article is, "Questions Couples Should Ask (Or Wish They Had) Before Marrying". Link below. Registration is free.

I think it is a mixture of problems like, Not communicating, disrespect and loss of desire for each other because of the said other two problems. When you stop communicating then you start to loose respect for one another. Then trust is lost in the mix of not communicating and disrespect. Without these three thing in a marriage it will not last.

One ot more of the following:
1. Non-communication with one another
2. No mutual respect for each other's views and values
3. Mistaking physical attraction for love and getting married before either one is ready.
4. Absence of mutual sacrifice for each other

inability to work out problems, due to lack of the right communication, and problem solving abilities. no respect, or sacrifice for the other, adultery, lying, just not being happy in that role.always seeking something better. just not choosing to make good things happen for your spouse, when u could.

If you did not evaluate how your partner "really" is when it comes down to respecting you, handling stress, handling money, and how he/she feels about himself (when they lack in self confidence). Sometimes ppl can get swept away and blinded by the whole falling in love thing, we don't notice the reality of marriage in it's entirety.

There is lots but as you go along you learn to figure it all out. Your purpose in the relationship. How you grow and learn about your yourself. Giving each other the space to grow and discover each of yourselves. Ongoing companionship. Friends first marraige second.
I love being married. You should not have to work hard at it. just be yourself.
