Get yourself an excercise ball! My wife loved using ours while pregnant, very low impact. She also loved swimming, again low impact and it takes all the weight off your feet.
Check out the website babycenter.com and input your due date, it will track your pregnancy as you go and give you a ton of useful information.
onestepahead is also a good web-site for baby items.

You can do almost anything that you could do before you got pregnant. You want to avoid very heavy lifting, or overheating, and you want to be weary of strenuous activity, especially if you didn't engage in it before, but other than that you should be fine. Being pregnant is not an ailment, remember that "back in the day" women worked the fields when pregnant and had healthy babies. Don't let old wives tales scare you into becoming an invalid during your pregnancy, there is really no "in your condition" type issue to worry about, in fact the only thing thinking like that may earn you is too many baby pounds. Talk to your doctor, of course, to make sure, but other than that, live your life.

As a ways as ingesting and smoking cross in being pregnant. I suppose the motive why smoking is appeared extra significantly on is due to the fact that it has no redeeming significance what so ever! The start results/defects are very obtrusive, that it factors a wide variety of disorders to the fetus as good as to the human frame, male or feminine, pregnant or now not! While ingesting, may have rewarding results... Notice I mentioned CAN have rewarding results. I stop ingesting totally even as pregnant. Others I recognise have had a couple of beverages right here & there, very reasonably for the duration of their pregnancies with NO end result what so ever. They have proven that, alcohol can minimize strain. That is usually a large advantage to the fetus. It additionally must be famous that alcohol isn't the one technique to minimize strain or the nice means. Personally, my opinion is that making use of alcohol for something rather then natural undertaking (due to the fact that you adore it) is abuse of the substance, and that "moderation" is vital! In my opinion it's BEST to steer clear of each, ingesting alcohol & smoking throughout being pregnant & even after. However having a tumbler of Champagne to have a good time must now not be dangerous, wherein they isn't any advantage of getting a cigar to have a good time. Also why is all people so involved with passing judgment, on others... I don't a pass judgement on individuals. I pass judgement on their choice-making capability. And there's a transparent difference among the TRUTH & opinion. I attempt to talk the TRUTH, & that's now not being judgmental... even though it offends anyone! If they selected to permit MY opinion trouble them, that's their main issue...

During my whole pregnancy I walked the local metro parks, swam, and did yoga. I only gained 36lbs and felt great everyday. Some doctors and books that I read say that you should exercise because it will make your labor easier. I cannot say that it did but ya never know. It won't hurt you or the baby so why not. I bet you will feel like a new woman if you get out of the house everyday! Congrats and good luck!

You can do pretty much everything you did before pregnancy exept drink, drugs, ect. You can go to your local gym and see if they have a pregnancy workout plan or class. If you just want to workout at home I would reccomend buying a pregnancy DVD or getting online and Looking up pregnancy fitness. They have a Fit pregnancy magazine you can pick up at just about every department store(usually by the check out). If your on restriction ordered by your doctor I would suggest take up scrapbooking and crafting. It's fun and they usually have events you can go to to get out of the house. Who knows you could learn to make a blanket for you baby. If you don't get the answer your looking for I would ask your doctor they will be able to help you for sure. Hope this helps...good luck.

Why do you stay home all day. You can do just about anything that you can do while you're not pregnant. If you don't usually exercise, then procede with caution and slowly under a doctors advise, but if you regularly exercise, your normal exercise rountine is ok. Just because your pregnant it does not mean that you have to sit a home, unless your doctor has put you on bed rest. Then reading, watching movies, sewing, knitting, cross stitch etc....

Check with your caregiver first, but they will probably allow exercise like water aerobics, yoga, pilates, and walking. These will keep you fit during your pregnancy and makes your labor and recovery easier and sometimes faster. You can also work on hobbies like scrapbooking, cooking, etc. Get help from your MIL on decorating your nursery, things like that. Be sure you don't expose yourself to any paint fumes if you decide to pain the room, let someone else take care of that part! As long as you don't feel overly tired from any activity you're usually permitted to continue with it up until birth.

I did martial arts until the day before my due date. it was great, I felt wonderful with no aches or pains. and t made recovering from birth much easier. I fully recommend some light exercise, walking, tai chi, even a yoga/aerobics tape for expecting mothers is better than nothing.

The doctor told me to only do the exercises and activity level that you did before getting pregnant. She said not to start any new exercise programs.

If u have to stay at home all day, buying a pregnancy workout video is good. You can exercise in the comfort of your home and take care of your mom-in-law. Also...kegel excercises...lots and lots of them!
