I had worked for a KFC for about 3 years. The gravy comes to the store in a plastic package in a dry mix. When a employee needs to make a batch of gravy, he then adds hott bun water and cold tap water and whisks it together. The temp. of the bun water must be beyond boiling or else the garvy will not thicken. We then ladle it into styrofoam cups or into the metal pots and pans. It is always served frsh and can not last more than a few hours. PS.....dont tell the colonel I told ya that though...its a secet recipe.....LOL!

The gravy comes in a bucket and poured into a pot that is heated and then put in the little cups by ladle.

The one that asked where the flaver is I will let you know the original. Good seasons itilian dressing. The one in the envelope and not the bottled kind. Mix this with the flour batter and you have KFC original.

Read the story of the man and you will see it is true.
