Can someone explain to me how wasting 3000 American lives in Iraq is protecting the U. S. All that is being protected is OIL for the republican criminals that we have in office.

The Dems just got into power. There are issues that are more important than wasting time on impeachment. There will be investigations. You need to be patient.
The Dems were not consulted regarding Bush's plan for adding more troops. He called them together today to tell them of his plan, not ask their opinions or suggestions. If I had the chance, I would ask him why he thinks it will help to add more troops now, when it didn't help the last 2 times he tried it. I would ask what else he has planned, to help empower the Iraqis to be more independent. Simply adding more US troops is not going to solve the problem of Iraq being unable to govern and protect itself.

Nothing is in cement yet. Give it time to happen. If it happens, then things can no longer be blamed on Dubya. With the Damnocrats in charge of Congress, they should be able to shoot down anything they don't like.

I believe that President Bush knows better than me. For protection of our country on the long run if he sends more troops, so be it.
I am a patriotic citizen, I enjoy the freedom this country affords to me. There are dark forces in this world that need to be defeated, such as Islam and communism. They are based on lies and brutal forces. People under their rule are slaves without human rights. If we are not aggressive enough to put them down, we ourselves may be overwhelmed.

The Democrats need to start doing SOMETHING. That's why we voted for them. Makes me sick. What a mess.

Bush's intentions haven't been backed up by anyone yet. He is just stating what he wants. He can send the troops, but if the Senate doesn't give him the money, then he is hosed.
