I will be going to small claims court. I need a lawyer that can help me prepare my case. What can he do for me?How much information does he need? What do I need to know to benefit from this meeting since they have a lot of cases, I do not want to waste there time. I am in Canada. Any advice will be appreciated.

I am the plaintiff seeking damages. I have all my information, notes, dates, receipts. How important are conversations that took place? Can these be used as evidence? Will the judge hear everything I have to say? or will it all be dismissed? The conversations are very important to my case. Will a lawyer help me with this? Thank you.

the 1st reply is very good also as it is small claims court it might be worth going to the court it self and asking if they can point you in the direction...........locally I was sent to a para legal who had been in the business for years and REALLY knew his stuff, his fee was whatever you could afford...........

Good luck

Pick up the Phone Book! You will need to schedule a consultation, and usually the consultation itself is free. Bring ALL of the information you have to the consultation. NEVER hold anything back from your lawyer, even if you think it could hurt you. The basic reason for this is simple: If you think it could hurt you then IT CAN and your attorney needs to know so they can properly defend you.

Please try the site below, and watch the online movie presentation. This is available in Canada. It will save you time and money, plus give you hours up front for Pre-trail and Trail time. Hope this helps.
