well, my bro thinks apallo 11 was a fake, and that we didn't land on the moon, one thing i cant figure out is, how the flag waved, they some of the x things on the camera, that show the middle of the picture where behind some objects, and how the astronuats where lit up behind the shadows of the lander, and how the capsule took off if it never had an engine.

Also, a few things i want to point out, WE DID LAND ON THE MOON. so DO NOT SAY ANYTHING BESIDES THAT, it waste's my time because i have to read that, so if you have scientific reasons why these things happened (on the moon) please tell me, and as in one of you said, because he was trying to plant the flag so he had to shake it into the ground, thank you, what i ment by why it waved, is when he was planting it. thank you for all your help, i have extended the expiration date. My brother is 18 and im 13

Check out www.badastronomy.com for a full discussion of the Apollo 11 questions. They have clear explanations for the supposed anomalies that "prove" the moon landings were faked.
There was residual vibrations when the flag was first put in place.
Visual contrast from the surface washed out the stars so that's why they weren't visible. The reflected light from the surface also explains why the astronauts were visible in the shadow of the LEM.
The Ascent Stage of the LEM most certainly had a engine. Take a look at the lift-off and you can see the effect of the exhaust on loose materials on the Descent Stage. The exhaust itself was not visible due to the lack of surrounding air reacting with the exhaust by-products.

Ok I agree, we did land on the moon. I don't think it was fake. They may have staged the videos you have always seen, but I doubt that it was staged for several reasons.
The flag wouldn't have waved unless some outside force was acting on it. Therefore, something must have been exerting force on it. The only expectation I can think of is something called solar wind, which is matter that is ejected or accelerated away from the sun and doesn't get much further away than the asteroid belt near Mars. Also, there are tiny particles that close to the moon's surface, and they could very well affect it.
I don't really understand what you're talking about, referring to those middle things.
As for the astronauts being lit up behind the lander, you have to take into account the angle of light and that the moon is highly reflective, which explains why the moon is so bright at night. If you see pictures, use the angle of the shadows to determine whether or not the astronauts should or should not be in shadows. Furthermore, they did bring lights with them. The cameras also had lights on them.
As for the lander not having an engine, whoever told you that doesn't know what they are talking about. If you got that from a book or website, it isn't credible. I have personally seen a lander at the Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, AL and it has ports on the bottom for exaust to propel it.
Sorry for all the trouble from everybody else. Hope this helps.
PS: how bout those points

The flag didn't wave. The flag was unfurling... unwrapping. The gravity on the moon is so low that it is going to do it in slow motion so it looked like it was still waving when the astronauts put it up. I believe that the xs on the photos were for centering and all that. They don't always show up in the center because the photos were cropped. I haven't seen photos of the astronauts in the shadow... if they are real nasa photos (remember people could be making their own) I'd assume that it has to do with a point of view, optical illusion sort of thing, they are probably in the light, unless you mean if there is no atmosphere why could you see them at all, because the answer to that is that the moon DOES have an atmosphere, it is just very thin and besides the surface of the moon is highly reflective, it is going to bounce light up onto anything. In fact, that would be very hard to fake on Earth so if anything that is proof that the landing were real. As for the engine, I believe it did have one, it wasn't a giant one like the space shuttles have because it was smaller and didn't have as much gravity to escape (the moon has much less gravity than the earth).
Another good argument, that I think I saw in a Smithsonian magazine, was that when we went to the moon, it was during the cold war and Russia had been whipping our *** in the space race. Then we got to the moon first. It was like being outsmarted by the kid in the dunce hat. If there is anyone who wants the missions to have been fake, it's the Russian government, yet they never made any such claim.

How old is your brother, and how old are you? It is very easy to make the flag wave on the moon. All you need to do is to wobble the flag pole!
Hmmm..."lit up" behind the shadow of the lander? Well, due to the high reflectivity of the moon's surface (take a look at your "moon shadow" next time there is a full moon), the shadows on the moon are NOT completely black.
No engine??? Whewwww.......well, there is reduced gravity on the moon, so not as much energy is required to launch. Didn't you ever see the footage of the ascent stage of the Apollo 17 Lunar Module launch? Of course there were engines in the Lander, and attitude control thrusters as well.
Try doing some real research.

The flag waved because the astronaut shook it trying to get it in the ground. There is no air to dampen the movement, so it goes on shaking for some time.
All that garbage about it being a hoax can be explained by the the fact that the people spouting it know nothing about conditions in space.
Grow up and read the story of the greatest expedition ever undertaken by man, which is being belittled by ignoramouses like your brother.
Think for yourself.

The flag moved because of solar wind. If you want a bunch more answers, do some real research and don't believe your bro, my grandfather can attest the truth about the moon landing, he worked on the Apollo projects.

The flow of the flag particularly proves that they are in a vacuum ecosystem. that's impossible to get a flag to pass that way in earths ecosystem. The flag replaced into an elementary mass produced nylon flag offered from a shop. It had a hem sewn into the best component, and the flagpole replaced into an inverted L shape to hold the flag out, because it might have appeared stupid merely drooping limply. because of the fact the astronauts drove the flagpole into the lunar floor, they twisted it backward and forward, this imparted inertia into the flag, and the backside nook flaps because of this. In earths ecosystem, the flag might could desire to pass the air around it to do this, so the flow is damped out very rapidly. on the moon, the flag can pass freely, and the flow is barely damped by potential of the nylon fibres rubbing against one yet another. this is why the flow continued for a while after the flagpole replaced into erected. in case you watch the Apollo 11 action picture shot from the 16mm records acquisition digicam on-board the LM, you will locate that the flag does not pass returned as quickly as that preliminary flow had died away. it particularly is for the full time the astronauts have been on the lunar floor till the LM accessory engine replaced into fired, at which factor the flag fell over. The moon landings weren't faked. purely ignorant uneducated morons think of they have been. R.I.P Neil Armstrong. a great guy, and a humble guy. He would be ignored by potential of all humanity.

The flag did not wave in any of the missions to the moon. There is no air , no wind to move it. You can watch the
videos of the last three missions on your pc. Try Apollo
surface journal !!! you would lke it ,, and LEARN !!!

There are HUNDREDS of websites that explain this.
I cannot believe we are stilld debating this and not one poster has it right yet.
There are wires in the flag. it was originally supposed to be straight, it got bent and they decide it looked more dynamic that way. You see, the scientists knew there is no air on the moon, they kind of study those things.

Yes, the flag would have had to been moved when they stuck it in the ground, hence the waving ("objects in motion", etc...).
Has anyone ever heard of a flash. Flash photography had been invented by then.
