Yes. a lot of sexual partners are turned on more by a shaved scrotum as there are no hairs that may trigger their nauseating reflex. Without this reflex they find it more delicious.
To prevent the itchiness it is best to use an epillation cream regularly. Alternatively you will have to shave it on a regular basis.
Remember the itchiness is ONLY when it is starting to grow back.

As a women I think thats rather unattractive and not very manly. Kind of like a vain American pornstar might do. Trimming is so much more attractive :)
Anyway whats not really answering your question. One of my ex's did it and said it was very itchy, but it's meant to get less itchy the more you do it. Remember to use shaving gel( you can get ones in Boots that are designed against itching, ingrowns and sensetivty) and put moisteriser on the area. If you suffer from ingrown hairs you can use a gentle scrub in the area before you shave and theres this lotion called Tend Skin(can get it from http://www.hqhair.com) and it stops ingrowns.

No, not shaved, but only trimmed pubic hair.
I believe that pubic hair in both sexes serves a useful medical purpose, in that it absorbs sweat, keeps harmful bacteria away from entering the vagina/penis and, most of all, is a sign of adulthood. Try trimming with a pair of clean scissors and that too only to such a level that the hair doesnt get entangled in the penis/vulva. Those who feel that oral sex pleasure is decreased by pubic hair are entitled to their opinion, but a lot of men and women are turned on by the sight of their partners' pubic hair. Trimming avoids itches, ingrown hair, and a host of other problems. Always keep the hair and pubic area clean, particularly before any sexual activity.
