Yeah, in my time, I've seen plenty of ugly babies, (the constant drooling, screaming, and other bodily functions doesn't help either,) but it's a harmless lie, as no-one thinks their OWN baby is ugly. (Except in the rare case of serious psychological or emotional issues. lawl.)
I have yet to see an ugly kitten though. You occasionally see ugly puppies, but not as much as ugly babies with little pointed heads. Baby owls and baby pelicans are frighteningly ugly.

*HERES A JOKE*
A woman and her baby were siting on an airplane. A man sitting across from them says "excuse me, but that is the ugliest baby I have ever seen." The woman says "well thank you, you have the ugliest nose Iv'e ever seen".
She calls the flight attendent and asks to move back a few rows. The attendant says "Sure, and can I get a BANANA FOR YOUR MONKEY?"!!!!!!!
I had to laugh!!!
But yes, I am sure everyone has said that at one point.

Sorta. No one wants to hear their baby is ugly but I don't go up to people I don't know in public and say their kid is ugly. Just people I know and I try to avoid lying so I normally try to pick feature and compliment the baby on that... like "Oh what beautiful blue eyes she has!" etc. Sometimes new parents will put you on the spot by asking, "Oh isn't she the most beautiful baby you've ever seen?" My mom always had a saying.. Every old crow thinks her baby's the blackest.

I wouldn't say the ugliest thing i've ever seen but i've seen some babies that were just not that cute. Sometimes they grow out of it, sometimes they don't

Yes. My cousin had an ugly baby but I would have never told her that and hurt her feelings because to every parent they have the most beautiful child in the world.

Ohhhhhhh yes and thank god for manners .. every mother thinks that their child is beautiful .... I always find myself taking a deep breath whilst taking a peek at the baby singing it praises and say wow she is just like you or dad .. gosh i hope no one thinks my baby is ugly lol

It is very mean,but yes!I think its something that most people say when they see a baby!I think being a mommy myself I would be hurt if someone didn't say that!"even though I know"LOL
